Queen Elfrida is a character in Princess Principal. She rules over the Kingdom of Albion. Her name was confirmed in the Season 1 Secret Files booklet.

It has been shown that Queen Elfrida cares for her family. She has delayed Princess Charlotte's possible engagement in Episode 4, and greatly worried about Richard when he was shot in Crown Handler Chapter 2.

At some point in time, Queen Elfrida became the ruling head of the Royal Family of Albion. Since some time, her health has been declining due to her age.
An infirmary in London is named after her. She also owns Queen's Mayfaire Academy, a school in a region in London called Mayfaire, which Team White Pigeon attends.

The Duke of Normandy is a relative of Queen Elfrida. They are on good terms and the queen addresses him on first-name basis. He often advises her in matters. How they are exactly related is currently unknown.
Ange le Carré[]
Ange le Carré is Queen Elfrida's granddaughter by blood. The queen is seemingly unaware of the fact that the current Princess Charlotte is a doubleganger of the original. She has not spoken to Ange in over ten years, and their precise relationship is currently unknown.
Currently, Ange is working with the Commonwealth to overturn the monarchy ruled by the queen.

Princess Charlotte currently poses as Queen Elfrida's granddaughter, even though they are not related by blood. The queen loves Princess Charlotte dearly, and it has been said on a few occasions that she is the queen's favourite. In episode 4, the queen tried to delay Princess Charlotte's possible engagement to a supposed Russian prince, stating that she was still quite young.
