Little Lambs Laundry is a laundry mill in London. It first appeared in Season 1 Episode 6: Case 16 Loudly Laundry of Princess Principal.
History[]
It is currently unknown who opened the Little Lambs Laundry and when this happened. When the laundromat first appeared in Princess Principal, it was run by an unnamed foreman. The working conditions were very poor at the time. Because of this, the employees of the mill needed to take regular breaks to avoid being hurt by electrical equipment that was in disrepair. The mill was also in a lot of debt to Franky, and was on the brink of closing down due to this.
Commonwealth spies Team White Pigeon (Ange, Beatrice, Chise, Dorothy and Princess Charlotte) joined the laundry mill as employees in Episode 6 as part of their mission Case 16: Loudly Laundry. They wanted to locate the terrorist nicknamed Poison Gas Jack by performing a chemical test on all soldier uniforms that arrived at the laundry mill.
When Charlotte discovered that the mill was in debt, she bought it and became the forewoman of the mill. The girls from Team White Pigeon then reorganised the entire mill in one night. They cleaned and fixed all equipment and optimised the working environment. This caused safety and productivity to increase, earning the mill more money. The girls from Team White Pigeon then found the terrorist Poison Gas Jack, named William Richard, and neutralised him. After this, they quit working at the mill, but not before Princess Charlotte made Marilla the new forewoman.
In Busy Easy Money, Team White Pigeon sent the laundry workers extra money that Dorothy accidentally won while betting on horse racing.
Labour Practices[]
The Little Lambs Laundry practices child labour, with the youngest employees being 10 years old. [1] This was commonplace at the turn of the 20th century.
The working environment at the mill used to be highly unsafe. The electrical equipment had not been maintained in a long time, and there were various exposed cables that posed tripping risk, among others. In Episode 6: Case 16 Loudly Laundry, Team White Pigeon improved the mill and its conditions. The workers that wash the clothes now also wear gloves.
