This page details a list of all guns and other weapons shown throughout Princess Principal.

Development[]

According to mechanical designer Fumihilo Katagai, the anime staff of Princess Principal put a lot of thought into the guns that appeared in the show. [1] They specifically wanted to make sure that the guns were available in England around the time the series takes place. In regards to Ange's gun (a Webley-Fosbury automatic revolver) Katagai said he had wanted to incorporate such a gun into an anime for a long time. He speculated that Princess Principal was the first anime to feature the gun. [1] On the other hand, Dorothy's shotgun is an original design. The designers were asked to match the gun to the shotgun holster on Dorothy's outfit in Kouhaku Kuroboshi's character concept artwork. Katagai proposed several different composition plans for the engine section of Dorothy's gun, and finally settled on a revolving type. Another original gun design is a portable Gatling gun that appears from time to time in the series.
