Lily Gaveston is a character in Princess Principal. She is the daughter of the Kingdom of Albion's Chief Justice and attends Queen's Mayfaire Academy.
Personality[]
Lily presents herself as a young lady of high birth; well-mannered and sophisticated. She is good at hiding her true feelings, though not as good as Princess Charlotte; becoming angry and unpleasant when embarrassed or caught off-guard. She is also snobbish at times; declaring that Charlotte's friends are not fit company for a Princess.
In spite of this, she has a certain sense of honour and decency; being clearly unhappy with Cameron's conduct during his duel with Chise Todo.
Abilities[]
Lily's abilities are those of a well-educated young lady. She is also familiar enough with the rules of duelling to serve as a referee; possibly via her family's legal background.
Though she acts as a spy, she has no training; making her inept in that role.

Lily Gaveston is from the Gaveston Law Lord bloodline. Her father is the Kingdom's Chief Justice; and an ally of the Duke of Normandy.

Princess Charlotte[]
Lily is generally polite and deferential to Charlotte, and is vaguely implied to have a genuine respect for her; despite spying on her. Charlotte at one point claims to regard Lily as a friend, though this may have been only a rebuke to her snobbishness.
Ange le Carré[]
Lily is contemptuous of Ange; dismissing her as a country bumpkin and an unfit companion for Charlotte. Ange's own feelings are not known.
Chise Todo[]
Lily's relationship with Chise is initially one of mutual contempt. She nevertheless sympathises with Chise during her duel with Cameron; where she acts as the referee.

Lily is a collaborator of the Home Secretary, the Duke of Normandy. She spies on Charlotte on his behalf.
Trivia[]
- Lily refers to her family as Law Lords. In real life, this is an informal term for Lords Ordinary-in-appeal, the judges occupying the Appellate Committee of the House of Lords. This is separate from the office of Lord Chief Justice, which her father is implied to hold.
- Her claim could be intended to imply that her family are Nobles of the Robe; having traditionally held legal posts. If so, it implies that the Albian aristocracy developed along French lines; perhaps due to cultural influence from ruling all or part of France.
- Lily shares a surname with Piers Gaveston; the notorious favourite and possible lover of King Edward II of England. His family originated from Gascony, then part of the Duchy of Aquitaine.
