Episode 9, titled Case 20 Ripper Dipper, begins with Ange sitting in a park as she sketching a large building in front of here. In the building that Ange is sketching one of the rooms is being rented by Lord O'Reilly, where he is meeting with an unidentified individual in secret. Team White Pigeon's mission is to keep surveillance on the room and find out who Lord O'Reilly is meeting with. The team has 2 posts where they are conducting there surveillance from as explained by Dorothy, the park as "anyone going in or out of that building has to take the path in front of the park" and a room which they are renting in an adjacent building.

While Ange is in the parking doing her part of the stake out, a young girl named Julie is seen again failing to rob a person. Ange observes the child and sees her younger self in her, she decides to teach Julie how to pickpocket in order to survive. Back at Queen's Mayfaire Academy in Princess's room, Ange and Princess discuss what Ange did for Julie and how it reminds them of the past. The story starts at the Royal Castle of Albion were a young princess Charlotte is shown to be sneaking away from the palace servants and guards to a overgrown part of the palaces Gardens. Life at the palace was tough on the young princess due to all the studying she had to do to be able to fulfil her duties as a royal and member of nobility when see grows up. All the young princess seemed to ever do was study, which made her grow to despise her life at the palace.

In a over grown part of the garden, near an old well, Princess Charlotte shots a gap in the palace's wall which leads to the outside. On the over side of the gap Princess Charlotte sees another figure, startling them both of them. The figure on the other side of the wall was a peasant girl who looked just like Charlotte, the girls name was Ange. Princess charlotte invites the girl into the palance were they begin to become friends, with the girl coming through the the wall to visit every day, where they would talk, play and dress as each other to fool the palaces servants. One day a curious Princess Charlotte asked the girl if they would trade places with her, as she wanted to see life outside of the palace. The princesses heart soared at the prospect of seeing a new world and no one would notice her or ask anything of her, exactly what she wanted. Outside of the palace walls Charlotte finds it is not what she expects and she is beaten by Ange's Guardian who mistook her for Ange for slacking off at her job.

Back to the present at Queen's Mayfaire Academy, students comment on how well Princess does at all of her studies. Meanwhile Princess is in her room practicing in front of Chise, who comments how much of a hard worker she is and that she has earned her respect. Princess tells Chise that she works just as hard as her, but Chise merely states that she carries working hard on because he enjoys it, where Charlotte appears to not and it almost seems like punishment to her. Charlotte will practice harder then, to build her "thick exterior" so no one will see how "hollow" and "empty" she is.

After the many days of spying on Lord O'Reilly's room an unidentified women enters the building but they are unable to make out who she is, to due to the veil covering her face. Without the women taking the veil off, Beatrice is unable to read any lips. They decide to risk it and tail the women until they can figure out who it is. Ange sends Julie to get run into to the unidentified women and pickpocket her to distract her so Ange can get a good look of the individual. The unidentified women is taken off guard but notices Julie try to rob her and grabs her wrist throwing her to the ground, in the split moment when Julie run into her the veil she was wearing lifted up, revealing that the women is Gazelle Flint, a spy for the Duke of Normandy and his secretary.

After informing Dorothy and beatrice that the unidentified women is Gazelle, Ange runs off to "destroy the evidence." Ange ends up in some slums where we see Julie being punished by the "master" of her household for not working hard. Before Julie can be hit Ange enters the premises and fights the "master" using her C-Ball. Julie is happy that Ange saved her and her siblings but is afraid of being punished when he wakes up. Ange hands Julie "a letter of introduction" to an orphanage on Stanford Hill and tells her to go there for help.

As Ange makes her leave she explains why she helped Julie and Julie asks "what ever happened to the pickpocket girl" from Ange's story. Ange explains that on the day they switched places, a revolution broke out against the monarchy. The disguised princess was able to make it back to the palace as it came under siege and meet with Ange. They are happy to see that eachother are still alive in the chaos. Princess Charlotte saids to Ange after experiencing what the real world was like that she will become queen to tear down the walls the separate the kingdoms people and that she and Ange will be together forever.

Princess Charlotte is caught in the collapse and falls down along with the rubble. Ange is spared the same faith by a few feet, where she is rescued by three of the palace guards who mistake her for Princess Charlotte as she is still disguised as her.

Back in the present, Julie and her siblings are boarding a train which will take them out of London to where they will find the orphanage. Julie feels sorry for the princess since she lost everything but Ange informs her that the one she "should feel the most sympathy for was the little pickpocket." Ange explains that in the chaos of the revolution when the princess and the pickpocket switched places, what would the royal family have done if they found out, if she did not play the role of princess perfectly they would of killed her. She would of had to work extremely hard making herself into something she was not born into to, she would have to learn etiquette, manners, languages, music, dance, horseback riding, dance, history, literature and art. She would of had so much she needed to excel at and knew that if she failed or took a miss-step she would meet the "gallows". Ange who could not even read or write was able to learn 9 languages and was able to gain the reputation as one of the kingdoms leading pianists, all of which came from her dedicated effort.
