Dorothy is informed by L at the library of the situation and is given her mission and documentation of the incident which is hidden in a hollowed out book. The mission is to steal the prototype from the Cavorite mines where they believe it is still being kept during a royal ceremony, if it is not recover the Kingdom with their refining technology will be able to mass manufacture gravity weapons. They have been assigned to this mission not because they are the most qualified but because they have the Princess.

Meanwhile Chise is seen walking through the streets of London past a mysterious figure, before telling Beatrice to switch and follow the figure. Beatrice loses the figure and ends up in a dead end allay way with the mysterious figure behind her. The mysterious figure points a Luger at her and declares 'checkmate' reveal themselves to be Ange and Beatrice has jus lost a training exercise.

In a parked car Ange, Chise, Beatrice and Princess discuss their training exercise and during this conversation princess suggest that they should also choose a team name, to which they give multiple suggestions. Everyone is in agreement to have a team name except for Ange. As they discuss their team name Dorothy returns and gives a brief update on her meeting with L and joins in on the team name discussion. She tells her teammates the mission off-camera.

Cavorite mine drive

Drive to Cavorite mine

On the drive to the the Cavorite mine they go over the plan and show there invitations at the main gate to get access to the the main building. Inside the Cavorite mine building there is still 30 minutes before the ceremony starts, they continue to discuss here plan and organise what everyone will be doing. Princess will stay in the main foyer and perform her royal duties, Chise will remain in the foyer also as Princesses bodyguard much to her unhappiness, the remaining three (Ange, Beatrice & Dorothy) will infiltrate the building and get to the laboratory. The three leave Princess and Chise once a servant informs Princess that the Queen has arrived.

Ange, Beatrice & Dorothy having left ceremony encounter a single guard guarding an iron gate that they need to get through. Dorothy takes a swing of alcohol to get the smell on her breath and pretends to be drunk to distract this guard, she also steal a key to the gate and gives it to Ange.

Steam light grenade steam

Cloud of steam

Past the gate and further into the quarry are two guards, guarding the next gate. Ange and Beatrice hop on each others shoulders and disguise themselves as one of the guards with a gas mask and use a Steam Light Grenade to create a large amount of stream so the guards can not see. Beatrice puts on the voice of the guard from the pervious room to trick the two guards into thinking that there had been a methane gas explosion and they need to get gas masks from storeroom 3 on the other side of the quarry. As Ange and Beatrice continue further into the quarry, Beatrice changes her voice back as it creeps out Ange.

Meanwhile Princess talks to the Queen about her studies and friends. Chise is seen with Lord Horikawa and it is revealed that Chise is there to observe the Kingdom and Commonwealth on the behalf of Japan so it can determine which country to ally with. At the same time the Duke of Normandy informs Princess that he wants to marry her into the Russian Royal Family, thus securing an alliance with Moscow and stabilising Europe. The Queen is displeased, complaining that Charlotte is too young for such things.

Ange and Beatrice reach the end of the corridor they were traversing and Beatrice is told to wait and return to the party after 10 minutes. Ange them jumps down the a large mine shaft at the end of the corridor full of moving gears and fans using her C-ball.

Dorothy returns to Princess and Chise, who are worried about Ange and Beatrice. During this Dorothy has a flash back to the library where L gave her the mission and recalls how L her to keep an eye on Princess as she might be a double agent.

C-Ball Dust Tracing

Ange reaches the laboratory where the C-ball prototype was believed to still being kept and finds it empty. She throughs her C-ball into the middle of the room and shoots it (believed to be with a special ammunition) with her Webley Fosbery Automatic Revolver which creates a ripple effects using dust that outlines where the equipment used to be in the room.

Ange remembers that the two gate guards where complaining about being tired from moving stuff earlier that day and begins to search for how they removed such large equipment. Ange finds some levers which open up to roof to a large hole which leads outside. At the top of the hole are large cranes that are moving around, the loading docks and the opening of a drawbridge to the river thames, she rushes back to the foyer to get the rest of the team.

Boat catch up point

Beatrice returns to the foyer as 10 minutes have past and Ange had not returned. She is talking to Dorothy, when Dorothy notices a green light shining in her face and looks up to see Ange giving her morse code using the C-ball. Dorothy quickly grabs Beatrice, Princess and Chise and head for the exit and to their car. The team believe that the equipment is on a boat and since the drawbridge to the Thames was only opened ten minutes ago, they figure that will be able to catch up to the boat at Greenwich.

On the boat, the same group of Kingdom scientists from the start of the episode complain about having to move their equipment to a group of Kingdom's Home Office interrogators and members. The interrogators reveal that there is a spy among them and show them the book containing the hidden camera from earlier.

Meanwhile Dorothy speeds towards Greenwich with Ange giving directions through the streets, allays and stairwells. Beatrice is scared due to the erratic driving and screams much to Anges annoyance, who mutes her by turning off her voice box. They stop at a bridge over the Thames where they see the boat about to pass underneath. Dorothy questions to herself is Princess can really be a double agent.

The boat is big enough to carry a whole platoon of soldiers and Chise offers to go with Ange on the boat. Ange refuses and says that only her and Dorothy will go, this lead to arguments as Chise sees herself as a stronger asset than Dorothy. Ange agrees but wants her not to get hurt as she was given to them under the graces of Lord Horikawa.

Princess intervenes

Princess intervenes

Princess intervenes by standing on the bridge ledge pistol drawn and wishes to also come along onto the boat. Everyone disagrees with this by saying it's too dangerous, but Princess convinces them otherwise by explaining how if they fail, it will lead back to her anyways and to insure this won't happen she will accompany them. Princess volunteerism to assist in the dangerous assault on the boat convinces Dorothy that she is not a double agent.

The helm

The helm

The team jumps down onto the boat as it goes underneath the bridge using the C-ball, with Chise knocking out a guard first before the rest of the team can land. They then split up into two group with Ange and Princess heading to the stern of the ship and the others head to the bow. Beatrice knock out two guards and enter the helm where they hold up the crew inside.

At the same time Ange and Princess make their way inside the ship as Princess discusses with Ange how when they where children they used to talk with each other like normal people with no formality and she wishes to go back to that. Ange argues that if she did that the team would figure out their secret and Princess continues to argue the point as it is the old Ange she remembers and loves.

In the room is where the group of Kingdom scientists and Kingdom's Home Office interrogators are located and once they gain access Ange takes down the two armed interrogators and saves the life of the Commonwealth spy who had been found out. Chise, Beatrice and Dorothy soon also enter the room armed as backup.

Some time later Dorothy relays the missions success to L and how the team is able to not only secure the Cavorite prototype but where also able to capture the entire Kingdom research team. Dorothy also asks L if Princess is cleared of all suspicion, too which he tells her no and he warns her that even though Princess may not be a double agent as of yet, she will always be a potential threat.

Back at Queen's Mayfaire Academy in the Natural Science Room, the team resumes their talks on a team name and Princess suggests decides to name themselves Team White Pigeon to which they all agree.

Trivia[]

  • A kingdom police officer is seen for the first time; being trounced by Chise during the training exercise. His uniform is in a similar style to the army uniform, but with the primary colour black and the secondary colour blue, and blue trouser stripes. The same uniform is seen again in Crown Handler Chapter 1.
  • The soldiers on guard at the Cavorite mine wear the same uniform as seen previously, but with red trouser stripes and white webbing. This seems to be the full dress version of the standard uniform.
