Summary[]

A Cavorite researcher named Eric Anderson wants to defect from the Kingdom of Albion to the Commonwealth. Commonwealth spy organisation Control wishes to help him and assigns Team White Pigeon, consisting of Ange, Beatrice, Chise and Princess, to the mission. The team takes Eric into safety at their school Queen's Mayfaire Academy. However, Eric later says he refuses to defect unless his younger sister Amy Anderson can join him. Ange and Beatrice investigate Amy and discover that she is suffering from Cavorite poisoning, which can only be cured with an expensive operation. Ange then deduces that Eric is actually a double agent working for the Kingdom's Home Office. His true objective is to expose the Commonwealth escape route across the London Wall.

Dorothy, Beatrice and Chise infiltrate the secret base of the Kingdom's Home Office and capture various subordinates. Meanwhile, Ange takes Eric to a secluded park where she explains that she knows of his true intentions. Eric admits that the head of the Kingdom's Home Office, the Duke of Normandy, offered to pay for Amy's operation if Eric agreed to fake a defection. Ange then executes Eric, but not before having him sign a life insurance policy. She hides the body such that it is only found a week later. She uses the money from the insurance to cover Amy's operation.

Story[]

Eric1

Defector Eric Anderson.

Episode 1: Case 13 Wired Liar starts out with a cavorite researcher by the name of Eric Anderson fleeing from a building. He wants to defect from the Kingdom of Albion to the Commonwealth of Albion, but is being chased by two pursuers. Commonwealth-aligned spy organisation Control steps in to assure his safety and help him defect. Team White Pigeon is assigned to this mission, titled Case 13: Wired Liar.

Ange le Carré, Dorothy and Chise Todo pick Eric up in as he is being pursued by two constables. The girls smuggle him into Queen's Mayfaire Academy, and plan on hiding him there in their clubroom until a date has been picked for Eric to cross the London Wall.

Amy1

Amy Anderson suffering from Cavorite poisoning.

The plans of the spies are complicated when Eric tells them that he will not defect unless his younger sister Amy Anderson is allowed to join him. Ange and Beatrice go to investigate Amy, who is being cared for at Queen Elfria Infirmary. On their way to the room where Amy is kept however, Ange recognises the two men leaving the room as the two men who pursued Eric at the start of the episode. As a precaution, Ange grabs a injection needle and sedative from a nurse. She later uses this to neutralise another spy who had been planted in the bed next to Amy. When Ange and Beatrice finally meet Amy, they come to learn that she suffers from Cavorite poisoning, which requires an expensive operation to cure.

It is then, after seeing the calluses on Amy's feet which indicate that she is a ballet dancer, combined with seeing the acceptance letter to the Royal Ballet Academy that fell from Eric's bag earlier on in the episode, that Ange concludes that Eric is not planning on defecting at all. Instead, she realises that he is a double agent whose goal it is to expose Control's escape route. This suspicion is confirmed when Eric sends a carrier pigeon to his handler, the Kingdom's Home Office.

Park4

Ange before executing Eric.

Dorothy, Chise and Beatrice head out to capture Eric's handlers, who are lead by Public Security Minister Kimble in name of the Duke of Normandy, at their hideout. Meanwhile, Ange takes Eric to a secluded park. After Eric explains that he was indeed approached by the Kingdom's Home Office, who asked him to fake a defection in exchange for Amy's operation costs, Ange has him sign a death insurance, after which she executes him. A week later, Eric's body is found in the Thames and Ange uses the money from the insurance to cover Amy's operation.
