Pre-Season 1[]
Ca. 20 years before the events of season 1, Danny MacBean and Dorothy Macbean have a daughter named Daisy. Danny MacBean was once a talented steam engineer for a number of years until 10 years before the events of season 1 when he lost his right arm in an accident and has to wear a hook-shaped prosthetic as replacement. Due to this debilitating injury he lost his job as a steam engineer and resorted to alcohol as a coping mechanism. Danny is known to became violent when drinking and would take it out towards his daughter Daisy. When he regained his senses, he would repeatedly apologised to Daisy, and in the end Daisy would finally have enough and ran away. At some point after this Danny would become a morgue technician where he would often got into arguments with his colleagues.
Season 1[]
While working at the morgue, Danny would accepts Gazelle's request in order to pay off his debt to Franky. Upon being reunited with his daughter (now known as Dorothy) and with help from her and Beatrice, he accomplishes request by Gazelle. Before going to collect his reward, he had promised to celebrate the completion of the request with Dorothy and her friends at a pub called The Whited Sepulcher is a pub located on Ghost Street. However after he demands an increase in his payment from Gazelle upon trying to collect the reward, he is killed by Gazelle.
